If your windscreen has a camera on it, your vehicle is equipped with an ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance System. This is designed to provide the driver with enhanced alerts and features to improve cabin and vehicle safety.
When your windscreen is replaced you will need to have the camera recalibrated as when the new screen is installed - we are unable to guarantee the camera is sitting in the exact same spot it was before. This is a crucial part of replacing your windscreen as the manufacturer has guidelines as to the vision of the camera and its optimum operating dimensions. If the camera position moves millimetres, this can translate to a larger area when the camera throw hits the road, so you may be closer than you think and the sensors may not go off as they were designed. This is why we highly recommend you have your windscreen recalibrated at the time of replacement and we can help you get that sorted.
If you have had your vehicle windscreen replaced by another repairer we can still help you by recalibrating your windscreen for you. We offer a mobile service, however there are some requirements on the space we use to recalibrate your vehicle but we can work through these with you when you contact us.
